The pie charts below show how dangerous waste products are dealt with in three counties.
The charts provide information on how the Republic of Korea,
Sweden
and the UK
are dealing with hazardous materials. Overall
, all countries except Korea mostly treated hazardous wastes by burying them underground.
Looking at the charts, burial is a popular method for treating waste in the UK
and Sweden
, with 82% and 55% respectively. Meanwhile, only 22% of them were buried by the Koreans, which is the smallest among the groups. Furthermore
, incineration was also
used by all countries, with Sweden
being the highest user at 20%, while
their counterparts only had less than 10%. In addition
to this
, recycling is the preferred approach in Korea, at 69%, while
only a quarter of them are recycled in Sweden
. In contrast
, this
method was not an option in the UK
.
Nonetheless
, UK
people had other ways of eliminating this
kind of rubbish. Less than one in ten were treated with chemicals, which is a process that you do not see in the other counterparts. The remaining percentage, which is 8% is dumping dangerous materials into the sea.Submitted by meliarizkina86 on
