The chart below show changes in the proportion of energy produced from different resources in a country in 1985 and 2003.
The given pie charts illustrate a comparison of the percentage of energy manufactured by various sources in a country in two distinct years, 1985 and 2003. From an
overall
perspective, it is evident that
while
power produced from natural gas, coal, and other renewable showed an upward trend, a reverse pattern could be observed in the figures for the other categories. In 1985, the percentage of energy manufactured by oil was the highest, at 52% of all energy sourced. The figures for the remaining categories, except hydro and other renewable power which accounted for the lowest proportion of only 1% to 4%, were lower, ranging from 8% to 22%. From 1985 to 2003, the proportion of oil materials decreased to only 39%. There was
also
a notable fall in the nuclear to 8% in the final year.
In contrast
, the data on natural gas, coal, and other renewable witnessed a significant rise to 23% and 22%, correspondingly, and the country saw a slight increase in that of other renewable to 4%. Hydro materials,
however
, remained relatively unaltered over the years shown.
