The crime rate has increased with the advancement of technology. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?
It is controversial that the current increase in the percentage of offenders is
due to
the development of technology
. From my standpoint, it is properly true and this
also
leads to the formation of new unlawful acts.
To begin
with, the prevalence of advanced technology
has promoted the inappropriate imagination and thinking of people
to develop unconsciously, especially in the young generation. This
is due to
the fact that more people
are able to have access to the internet
uncontrollably in which sensitive contents and misleading information such
as violence, murder and sex, are widespread among them. As a result
, with the lack of acknowledgement and the curiosity of young people
, they tend to imitate those susceptible behaviours acquired from the internet
which eventually causes criminal activities. For instance
, several reports from a law university indicated that recent recorded rapes and fights stemmed from teenagers who have approached violent and sex movies.
In addition
, as the fact that people
in this
era are almost accustomed to the use of technology
, a variety of introduced methods of online illegal acts are able to be conducted through the internet
. Specifically, the law university in Vietnam has also
revealed that there are several reports from online buyers who stated that they have lost hundreds of millions just because of an unassertive click on an anonymous advertisement on their email. They also
clarified that those scammers who created them, have already set up a function that will expose almost every personal detail including the bank account of the person who unawarely click it. These circumstances reflect that had it not been for the versatility and the insecurity of the internet
, many people
would not have utilised technology
to break the law mysteriously without hesitation.
Taking everything into consideration, it is true that the improvement of technology
has posed a rise in offenders due to
the spread of susceptible information and it also
creates an incredible foundation for new ways of lawbreaking for society.Submitted by zanhduy on
