It is important for people to take risks, in both their professional lives and personal lives. Do the advantages of taking these risks outweigh the disadvantages?

It is vital for an individual to take
risks
in different
aspects
of their
life
, including professional
aspects
and personal
aspects
.
People
have different opinions about whether the benefits of
this
are more than the drawbacks. I have a balanced idea about it. In my opinion, when talking about the advantages of taking
risks
, we should take each person's personality into account.
However
, I believe that for most
people
it is better to take
risks
. It is evident that a brave decision can improve a person's
life
forever. In fact, I think if an individual never takes
risks
, he will not be able to improve his
life
, especially in professional
aspects
.
For example
, if a person is not satisfied with his salary, I believe that staying in his comfort zone will not help him at all.
By contrast
, he might be able to earn much more money by quitting that job and searching for a better company.
In addition
, leaving our comfort zone is challenging, and managing a challenging situation can help
people
to develop a confident personality, which seems to be extremely important to their mental health condition.
On the other hand
, I suggest that some
people
are not able to cope with the stressful situations that often follow a brave decision. As a matter of fact, forcing them to leave their comfortable area might exacerbate the unsatisfying condition they were already in. Another drawback of encouraging
people
to make big decisions is that they might not be intelligent enough to consider all the
risks
, and
as a result
, they might lose everything they have put in danger.
Overall
,
although
we need to be brave when making important decisions in our lives, we still need to be aware of our personal weaknesses. In conclusion, I restate that
although
it is crucial for everyone who wants to improve his
life
to take
risks
and leave his comfort zone, we need to consider our characteristics,
as well as
our decision-making abilities.

Support ideas with relevant, specific examples

Examples make your writing easier to understand by illustrating points more effectively.

Examples, if used properly, not only help you get higher marks for ‘Task Response’ but also for ‘Coherence’.

When giving examples it is best to put them after your main idea or topic sentence. They can be used in the middle of supporting sentences or they can be used to start a new sentence. There is no rule for where exactly to give examples in essays, logically they would come after your main idea/topic sentence or just after a supporting sentence.

Linking words for giving examples:

  • for example
  • for instance
  • to illustrate this
  • to give a clear example
  • such as
  • namely
  • to illustrate
  • take, for example
