The given line graphs provide information about the ratio of electrical gadgets ownership and how many hours were spent on household chores weekly in one country from 1920 to 2019. At a glance, the number of households who bought three appliances namely a washing machine, fridge, and vacuum cleaner increased sharply,
while
the number of weekly hours doing the washing, cooking, and cleaning experienced a dramatical drop over the cycle of time. In the year 1920, almost no one owned a refrigerator. Meanwhile, the vacuum cleaner was chosen by 30% of households, which is nearly as popular as the laundry machine, with 40%. In 1960, the percentage of people using refrigerators rocketed up to 90% and
then
peaked at 100%
at the end
of the duration. The figure for vacuum cleaners witnessed the same tendency, which
also
climbed to 100% in 2019. As for the washing machine, the figure fluctuated slightly before ending at over 70%. It can be seen from the second line graph that 50 hours were spent doing household chores every week in 1920.
However
, there was a significant decline in 1980, from 50 to around 20 before reaching a bottom
at the end
of the mentioned stage.
