you are visiting an other town next month for a short break. write a letter to the tourist information center. in your letter tell them how long you are staying ask for some suggestion for what to do find out if there are any local events happening at the time

Dear Sir/Madam I'm planning to visit your town next month and stay for a week starting from August 14. The hotel I have reserved is not far from Willy's Barn and at a moderate distance from the centre.
Nevertheless
, the remoteness of any sight doesn't scare me and I'm ready for long walks. Could you please advise any activities popular at
this
time of the year? Unfortunately, as I have never been to these places I need a bit of professional advice to schedule my days.
In particular
, would prefer museums and theatres if there are any options available in that period. My other request is for any public events that will take place within the terms of my journey.
Moreover
, I would be glad to have an opportunity to watch live one of the sports teams which are so popular in my hometown too. Looking forward to your response, Sincerely Yours Habib
