Meeting with coworkers during our time off is generally a trend among some people,
while
others believe that it affects
workplace
performance altogether. Both thoughts are right to some extent as a bond between fellow workers helps run things smoothly at the
workplace
but
also
creates favouritism to a level. On one hand, building relationships with colleagues outside work helps us gain their support when we need help with our tasks. It is more easy to ask for favours from someone we know well rather than an unknown fellow.
For instance
, if somebody is running behind on their tasks for the week or needs more ideas on an assignment, a friend will definitely help you out rather than be competitive. Other than that, people who you see daily are easy to make friends with and create bonds that
last
for life.
On the contrary
, an unhealthy relationship can ruin the decorum of the
workplace
. Let us assume that somebody got into a fight with a friend for some personal reason who is

a part of his work team

it will create a hostile environment in the company.

Workplace
favouritism can destroy the motivation of other employees in an organization. In my opinion, socialization outside work is a great tool if used correctly. If we are determined to keep our friendships outside the
workplace

nothing could be more better. Any job is not going to

forever but the relationships that we build along the way are going to stay with us for the rest of our lives.
