The flow chart illustrates the manufacturing process of
bricks
for the building industry. There are eight steps in
this
process: digging, rolling, mixing, cutting and shaping, drying, heating, packaging and delivering. In the first step, clay which is dug from the ground by the digger is put on the roller through the metal grid.
Second,
sand and water are added.
Third,
the mixture, including clay, sand, and water is either cut into
bricks
by the cutter or shaped with the mould.
Then
, the
bricks
are put in the drying oven where
bricks
are dried for 24 to 48 hours.
Next,
the
bricks
are moved into the kiln, where they are heated first at moderate temperatures of 200
°C
to 980
°C
and
then
at high temperatures of 870
°C
to 1300
°C
. After that, they are cooled down in the cooling chamber for 48 to 72 hours.
Last
, the
bricks
are first packaged and
then
delivered to the building industry.
