Dear Sir or Madam I am writing to ask for
information
about a new
school
which is studying foreign languages. I have read your advertisement for the
school
and courses and would like to get more
information
. Admittedly, I am obsessed with English. I am a pupil at Secondary
school
and I am preparing for English tests. I would be grateful if you could tell me about your
school
's accommodation, facilities and sort of teachers. Especially, I would like to know more about your
school
's co-working spaces, kitchens and necessary appliances for pupils. I really want , there to be special
school
residences for pupils who live far from there.
In addition
, I would like there to be various gadgets and cosy places for our study.
Besides
, I wonder if you could possibly tell me about your course's cost. I would be ready to be a pupil in your
school
. I would be grateful if you could send some
information
about the necessary documents for studying there.
However
, I am going to leave with my family for vacation.
For
this
reason, you could send the above-mentioned
information
to my e-mail or you can contact me on my mobile phone number which is 516 234 888. I would appreciate it if you could inform me as early as possible. I look forward to receiving a prompt reply! Yours faithfully, Umida

Structure your letter

A letter needs to be written using a proper format, including the following:

  • A greeting (Dear sir/madam, Dear John, Dear Mr. Smith)
  • The main body (consisting of paragraphs for each part of the letter)
  • A closing (Yours sincerely, Yours faithfully, Best wishes, Kind regards, Love)

When writing a letter as part of the IELTS General Training Writing Task 1, it is important to include the bullet points presented to you in the question.

All three bullet points need to be presented. And remember that some bullet points contain more than one element. So, make sure to watch for ‘and’ and plurals.
