Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing
this
letter to apply for a part-time job at your restaurant. I have seen your job posting in a local newspaper. I am an international student and I am looking for a part-time job I
also
live just across the street from the restaurant. I have an experience of 2years in the food industry as a hotel manager.I have 12 members of the team and we were an excellent team. I have excellent skills
such
as time management and stress handling. I am
also
a very good listener to resolve my staff issues quickly. I
also
offer higher standards of customer care to each customer and I always get positive feedback from them. As I mentioned, I am an international student and I do have my school lectures from Monday to Friday in the morning time, so I am available to work anytime during evenings to late nights. I can
also
work full-time on weekends. Please find an attached resume
along with
this

Structure your letter

A letter needs to be written using a proper format, including the following:

  • A greeting (Dear sir/madam, Dear John, Dear Mr. Smith)
  • The main body (consisting of paragraphs for each part of the letter)
  • A closing (Yours sincerely, Yours faithfully, Best wishes, Kind regards, Love)

When writing a letter as part of the IELTS General Training Writing Task 1, it is important to include the bullet points presented to you in the question.

All three bullet points need to be presented. And remember that some bullet points contain more than one element. So, make sure to watch for ‘and’ and plurals.
