The plans below show the site of an airport now and how it will look after redevelopment next year. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The picture illustrates the current layout of Southwest Airport and its appearance after the renovation in the following year.
Overall
,
it is clear that
there would be several principal changes related to the extension of the airport, and some newly-added
areas
such
as ATMs, shops, car-hiring
areas
, and bag-dropping
areas
. Currently, the departure lounge has an
area
for check-in and a cafe in the top-right corner,
whereas
the arrival lounge is empty. After the redevelopment, a bag-drop
area
will be added to the departure
area
, and the existing facilities will be repositioned. Meanwhile, the arrival
area
will be extended to build a section for hiring cars,
in addition
, a cafe and an ATM will
also
be built in
this
lounge. It can be observed that the procedural
areas
will remain in their original position after the renovation.
Moreover
, stores for shopping will be constructed behind the security zone of the departure
area
. The most noticeable modification will be the enlargement of the sterile
area
which currently has 8 gates but will be added ten more. The
area
will be transformed into a forked cross shape and the walkaway part will be changed to a sky train.
