It is important for children to learn the difference between right and wrong at an early age. Punishment is necessary to help them learn this distinction. To what extend do you agree or disagree with this opinion ? What sort punishments should parents and teachers be allowed to use to teach good behaviour for children?

It is argued that disciplining is needed to help early age
children
learn about which one is right or wrong. I completely agree with
this
argument, and I believe that there is a type of punishment to be used
such
as the cause-and-effect
concept
. In
this
particular essay,
this
view will be discussed. Sometimes, toddlers do something because of their curiosity without knowing whether it is a good or bad thing for them.
For instance
, when they watch a television that shows an act of someone yelling at others,
toddler
tends to follow it without thinking about whether the behaviour is right or wrong.
In addition
,
according to
some research about
toddler
behaviour, it is explained that at an early age kid tends to follow someone’s habit because
that is
a part of their learning in building their manner.
Thus
,
adults
such
as parents and teachers are able to discipline their kids about the differences between right and wrong that
children
can follow and avoid. There is a sort of punishment that parents and teachers can do to teach
children
about good behaviour called the cause-and-effect
concept
that will influence
children
’s psychology. In general,
children
never think about what is the effect that they will get after doing something.
Therefore
, by using
this
concept
children
perhaps think twice when they want to do something. To illustrate, as a
toddler
does a bad thing,
adults
should be not angry because it will make the
toddler
feel bad, and it makes them do that again someday behind the
adults
.
Instead
, they can tell them about the effect of doing that thing. It will make the
children
pretend to not do that again in the future to avoid the effect. To summarize, I agree with the statement that
children
need punishment to give them lessons about good manners.
In addition
, I suggest
adults
implement the cause-and-effect
concept
to teach their
children
.
