The graph below shows radio and television audiences of United Kingdom throughout the day in the year 1992.
The line graph illustrates the proportion of those individuals who preferred watching TV and humans who listened to the
radio
in the UK during one day in 1992.
Overall
, it is noticeable that a greater
number
of people dedicated their time to watching television,
whereas
the
number
of
radio
listeners was smaller by the end of the given period. In the morning, namely, from 1 am to 5 am, there were similar patterns in the figures concerning the British who listened to the
radio
and watched the TV, which accounted for approximately 4% each.
However
, at 5 a.m. the data that indicated the percentage of those people who chose to listen to the
radio
had increased dramatically and at 8 a.m. it constituted 25%, which was about four times as many as the ratio of humans who watched TV during the same time. At noon, the figures equalized and their percentage made up almost 15%,
although
the data regarding the
number
of viewers of the television boomed drastically, which accounted for just over 40% by 5 pm and
then
declined rapidly, and by 23.00 made up 15%. Meanwhile, the other figure had a slight fluctuation with a downward trend and by the end of the observed timeline the
number
of
radio
listeners constituted about the same
number
as at the beginning.
