The diagrams below show the life cycle of a species of large fish called the salmon. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The diagrams below illustrate some information about the different 4 stages of the
salmon
life cycle.
Overall
, salmon
have an average lifespan of approx 9 years and consist of four main stages: egg, fry, molt and adult salmon
.
To be more specific, the first stage of the salmon
life cycle begins when mother salmon
hatch the eggs and baby salmon
comes out from the eggs. Baby salmons live on the lower side of the river because of the fast-flowing water flow. They lived here for approx 5 years and became smolts which is 12-15cm in length. In the 2nd step, smolt salmons change places to the open sea in search of food and stay there for 5 years and then
they become adult salmon
. In the last
stage
they prefer to live in the upper river and go there to stay there for the next 5 to 6 months. When they lie eggs the cycle again begins.Add a comma
