You should use complex sentences in your writing, but it does not mean that you should try to make all of our sentences complex.

‘Complex’ sentences are not actually very complex; they are just two or more simple sentences put together. Putting them together makes the essay more coherent and cohesive.

Examples:

Today, young people are subjected to various types of influences. One of which is the hype around certain celebrities. However, most famous celebrities do not rely on solid achievements but rather on their attractiveness and being descended from rich families. I wholeheartedly believe that they provide a poor example for teenagers. In this essay, I will provide my valid reasons, as well as the rationale behind my disapproval.

As a result, some people believe that non-academic subjects, such as physical education and cookery, should be removed from the school syllabus so that children can concentrate on academic work. Education is always important for young people to be successful in their life. Some of them believe that only studying extracurricular things is not important so that children can focus only on regular subjects to achieve the best results. In my opinion, I strongly disagree with this idea since learning additional activities will help for career apart from our regular courses.

With more people comes more traffic; as a result, going to work timely in the morning is a real issue for those who live in the outskirts. To solve this problem, some argue to build apartments over city parks and gardens that are nearer to workplaces while others disagree, including me. This essay will discuss both views in detail and then explain why I think this is a bad idea.
