You have invited a friend to visit you next month. Unfortunately, you are not able to meet him/her. Write a letter to your friend. In your letter, - Apologize for the change of plans - Explain why you are unable to meet him/her - Suggest another time for him/her to visit
Dear Sara,
I hope
this
letter finds you well. I'm writing to tell you, that I won't be able to meet you in Berlin next month. I'm really sorry for that. My plans have dramatically changed over the last
two weeks and I don't want to miss the opportunity.
Do you remember I told you about my application to the Red Cross last
summer? They've finally
approved my request and gave me a workplace in Mali. I'm catching the flight next week and will be there for five to seven months helping with the new COVID-19 research.
I definitely will be at home in June and if you have time we could spend our holidays together, as we did two years ago. Maroon 5 planned to visit Berlin on the 22nd of June and I really want to be there with you.
Say hello to your mother. Hope to see you soon.
Best wishes,
