Summarise the Information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
This
diagram illustrates the process of producing
electricity
by using geothermal energy.
Overall
,
electricity
is produced by five steps, in which the first three steps are pouring cold
water
into the injection well where the
water
is stored and
then
, flowing
water
through the geothermal zone into the production well. The next two steps are pumping up hot
water
into the condenser and changing it to steam and the
last
step, generating
electricity
.
First,
the cold
water
is pumped down into the injection well, which is excavated about 4.5 km. After that, cold
water
is crossed through the geothermal zone which is, in fact, hot rocks. Next step, the
water
is flowed into the production well. As the hot
water
has been reached into the production well, it is pumped through the condenser, which here hot
water
is turned into the steam.
Finally
, the
last
step is the turbine which is powered by steam and conveys energy into the generator,
then
, the generator that has been powered by the turbine produces
electricity
.
