Overall

 who went to France, Sweden, the United Kingdom, Germany, and the Netherlands increased from 2007 to 2009,
while
 the
number
 of
exchange
students
 from Australian universities to universities in Europe remained the same over the
period
. In 2007, most
exchange
students
 came from France which accounted for 61
students
 and slightly decreased to 60 in the next two years;
however
, they still became the highest figure. Statistics of transfer
students
 from the United Kingdom
also
 declined from 31 to 26 from the beginning
period
 to 2009.
In contrast
,
exchange
students
 from Germany to Australia in 2009 was almost twice higher than the initial year of the given
period
.
While
 the
number
 of
exchange
students
 from Sweden
also
 rose from 34 to 42 over the same
period
, the total
number
 of
students
 from the Netherlands remained the same.
Furthermore
, between 2007 to 2009, the total figures of
exchange

 from France and Germany to Australia grew from 37 and 18 to 58 and 26
