as well as
its share of spending.
Clearly, the police received a greater amount of capital in 2018 than in 2017 while
both spending amounts in 2017 and 2018 were dominated by salaries for officers and staff.
In 2017, the overall
police budget was 304,7 million pounds with the main sources coming from the national government, followed by local taxes and other sources. The total figures increased in the next year to 318,8 million pounds with a significant addition of 11,1 million in the local taxes fund whereas
the two other sources of income were not
The troops used the given budget to fund their personnel salary which accounted for 75% of spending allocation in 2017 and was slightly decreased to 69% of overall
cost in 2018. Conversely
