, Japan had been decreasing but seen an escalation. The two lines illustrating the United States of America and Sweden have been side to side most of the time. Indeed, the number of 65 years people grew considerably at a similar pace. In fact, in 2040, the predicted percentage is expected to reach 23% for both lands compared to 7% in 1940. By a slight difference, from 1940 to 2000, the United States of America was on top of the two other countries until 1995 when the European country got ahead of the USA. Japan for several times had a very low percentage. Undeniably, from 1940 to 1960, the proportion dropped from 5% to 3%.
