and is surrounded by many branches of the

axon
is a long cord conveying notes from Soma to other neurons, muscles or glands. Every
axon
is covered by 5 myelin sheaths which function to help speed neural impulses. The action potential is shaped as electrical potential travelling down the

also
transmits Soma to terminal buttons which form junctions with other cells. The most discernable feature of terminal buttons is the small circular point at its head.
