The diagram below shows how rainwater is collected and then treated to be used as drinking water in an Australian town. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.
The illustration presents an overview of the key
stage
involved in the collection of rainwater and the manufacturing of rainwater in an Australian town. Overall
there are three main steps namely preparation, processing and using water
treatment.
The whole process of water
production starts when it rains, the water
from the people’s house flows down the same drain before undergoing a filter machine. After
this
, the rainwater is filtered in order to remove any impurities, followed by being passed into a container through a tube which is positioned at the top of the container. In the next step, the filtered water
through a tube which is located at the left bottom of the container is connected to a treatment tank.
In this
stage
, the water
is added with any chemicals with a view to be transformed chemically before moving to the final step. Subsequently
, a penultimate stage
which is delivering water
treatment via a pipe is carried out. It then
leads to the final stage
of the processing where the water
is used in other houses.Submitted by nh203618 on
