The maintenance of public libraries is a waste of money because of computer technologies that have the same function. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

There is a prevailing belief that it's pointless to maintain public
libraries
Use synonyms
since modern technology has rendered them obsolete in recent years. Personally, I disagree with
this

view because, even though e-
libraries

can be advantageous in some ways, I believe that they can never replace traditional
libraries
Use synonyms
for a number of reasons.   It is true that online
libraries
Use synonyms
provide several unique benefits. One of them would be an unlimited amount of data.
This

is because online readers have access to more

information

due to

the searchability and free content of the Internet. Another convenience of electronic
libraries

is their 24/7 availability, as individuals

However

continue to play a key role in modern society.
Firstly

Secondly

Finally

, it's easier to find like-minded people by going to conventional

task achievement
Ensure a clear position is maintained throughout the essay. The response slightly moves away from the personal conviction in the last paragraph by acknowledging the advantages of digital libraries. A cohesive argument needs to resonate from introduction through to the conclusion without deviating from the established stance.
coherence cohesion
Improve the use of cohesive devices. While some good examples are present, there is room for more sophisticated use of linking words and phrases to create a more seamless flow of ideas.
task achievement
Develop the supporting examples with more detail. While examples are present, they could be further elaborated upon to increase their relevance and impact on the argument.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
