Some scientists think that there are intelligent life forms on other planets and messages should be sent to contact them. Other scientist think it is a bad idea and would be dangerous. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

Nowadays, many
scientists
are interested in
planets
because they want to know what is there and whether there is life there. Now we are in the 21st century and technology is very advanced so
scientists
say that other
planets
are intelligent because in 1969 American Neil Armstrong flew to the moon and from there he got a lot of research and that research will be studied by many
scientists
and I think that the
planets
will
also
be studied and even now Nasa intends to travel to mars in the future and many
scientists
conclude that it's a good idea but they don't know what's on other
planets
so I hope it's worth thinking about. At the same time, other
scientists
say that
this
is a bad thing and they think that by studying other
planets
we should harm our planet, I
also
agree with
this
opinion, but it is possible to study many
planets
from afar, and I think that
this
method is very good, because other
planets
may be life on
planets
I think we should not harm them because other
scientists
think we should learn from there with all the research other
scientists
say it is a very bad idea.

Introduction/Conclusion
Your essay lacks a clear introduction and conclusion. Make sure to have an engaging introduction that presents both views followed by a clear thesis statement. The conclusion should summarize the main points and restate your opinion.
Logical Structure
The body paragraphs need to be distinctly divided, each elaborating on a separate view, followed by your own opinion. Ensure each paragraph has a clear topic sentence.
Supporting Examples
Provide specific examples to support each view and your opinion. They should be relevant and well explained for the reader to understand the context.
Task Response
Your response to the task was incomplete. You are required to discuss both sides of the argument and give your own opinion. Your analysis of each view needs to be more developed and clear.
Coherence and Cohesion
The use of linking words and cohesive devices is necessary to improve the flow of the essay. Structure your ideas clearly and logically, using paragraphs appropriately.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
