Overall
, it can clearly be seen that the changes in electrical appliance ownership rose during the given period, whilst the trend in the number of
hours
doing housework decreased. In the first period, the washing machine was the most dominant, which was replaced by refrigerators and vacuum cleaners from 1960 until the end of the year. In terms of the electrical with the highest level of use at the start, the number of washing machines stood at exactly 40%, compared to the two ones. It
then
saw a significant increase to just above 70% in the final year. Refrigerators, which were the lowest at the beginning, rose dramatically to exactly 90% in 1960 and hit the rough at 100%, the same level as vacuum cleaners in the following years. Regarding the amount of time spent doing housework, it started at exactly 50
hours
per week and experienced a dramatic decline to just above 10
hours
weekly in 2019.
