The given chart illustrates the amount of families’ expenses on their weekly earnings in one country in 1968 and 2018.
Overall
, it can clearly be seen that the trend almost decreased in almost all sectors, except for 3 aspects which were housing, transport, and leisure. Food was dominant in 1968, whilst leisure was the highest one in 2018. The expenses on fuel and power were the lowest during the given period.
In terms of the highest number of weekly spending by families, food stood at exactly 35% in 1968 before dropping significantly to about 17% in 2018, compared to clothing and footwear which saw a moderate incline by 5%. Although
the expenses on personal goods were higher than on fuel and power in 1968, they experienced a slight decrease of under 5%, the same level as fuel and power becoming the lowest in 2018.
Regarding the most popular spending in 2018, leisure dominated the trend, rising from about 8% to approximately 25%. Housing and transport also
