The graph below shows the average monthly change in the prices of three metals during 2014. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The line graph compares the monthly
price
fluctuation of three specific metals including copper, nickel, and zinc over a year in 2014.
Overall
, it is evident that
although
nickel experienced the most remarkable changes, the cost of copper remained almost stable.
According to
the given image, nickel had the biggest rise in the beginning
months
of the year with 6% and 4%, respectively.
Then
it increased slightly in March, April and May.
In contrast
, the
price
reduced significantly by -3% change by the end of June and
this
trend continued until October. Again, at the two ending
months
of 2014, the ascending slope returned and the
price
rose 1% in each of November and December.
In contrast
, the zinc
price
analysis shows that the
price
change was additive in the first 5
months
and
then
, after 5 constitute
months
of reduction, the variations were positive by approximately 1.7 and 2% in November and December, respectively.
In addition
, copper was the most consistent metal among these three. In fact, except in May and June,
this
product’s cost fluctuated between 0.7 to 2% positively during 2014.
