A glance at the graph given provides the

number

of

cinema

attendance by people of various age groups in Europe over the period from 2000 to 2011. It is evident from the information supplied that the percentage of

cinema

-going by younger communities was higher than older people; on top of that, all categories showed an upward trajectory despite some of them having a wide fluctuation.

To begin

with, the

number

of adolescents between ages 15 and 24 had the highest percentages among others. Starting from around 15%, it

then

rose dramatically to approximately 50% in 2007. After declining in 2008, the

number

rose again to around 50% in 2011.

On the other hand

, after having some fluctuation between 10% and 15% from 2000 to 2005, the figure of younger individuals going to the

cinema

climbed gradually and reached its highest point at around 39% in 2010.

This

was followed by a slight decline in 2011. Increasing significantly from around 5% to approximately 8% in 2005, the

number

of adults who went to the

cinema

then

oscillated in the following four years and showed a similar percentage

at the end

of the period with younger individual’s rate.

Whereas

the

number

of

cinema

attendance by people between age 35 and over showed a gradual increase from around 2% in 2000 to just under 10% in 2011.
