The line graph displays how many inhabitants of four Asian countries stayed in cities between 1970 and 2020 and how those will be in 2030 and 2040.
Overall
, from all of the four countries, the biggest number of inhabitants living in the cities was inhabitants in
Malaysia
while
that of
Thailand
was the least. Meanwhile, the data predicts that more people are going to stay in the metropolis in both 2030 and 2040.
To begin
with, almost in all of the years given, there was a constant increase in the
proportion
of
Malaysia
from exactly 30% in 1970 to approximately 75% in 2020. In comparison,
although
at the beginning of the year, the
proportion
of the Philippines experienced a slightly similar number to that of
Malaysia
at 32%, it
then
fluctuated in the following years until reached around 42%.
On the other hand
, the residents of Indonesia which gained the smallest
proportion
at the start of the period at about 14%, kept on rising along the period and achieved nearly above 50%

in 2020. The
last
country,
Thailand
, had a contribution of just under 20% in 1970 before rising constantly to about 30% in 2020. In terms of forecasts for 2030 and 2040, the percentage of
