The pie chart provides information about the global expenditure on seven types of food (vegetables, rice, meat, fruits, cereals, bread, and fish) in 2014.
As a general trend, it is obvious that the majority of consumption by the worldwide inhabitants was in meat compared to the other foods. Meanwhile, rice experienced the opposite.
To begin
with, meat and fish were prioritized by the majority of the population in 2014 with approximately 31.4% and 27.9%, respectively. Similarly
, cereal also
ranked in the top three, roughly 11.7% of the total percentage. In spite of that, vegetables and fruits only had slightly different portions, accounting for 10.5% and 10.6%, in turn.
Having the lowest proportion, bread became one of the unfavourite cuisines of global citizens in 2014, it stood at 5.5%.
