The plans below show the site of an airport now and how it will look after redevelopment next year. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant

The two maps demonstrate the Southwest Airport's current layout and its proposed future transformation plan.
Overall
, Southwest Airport will witness radical changes. The most noticeable is the significant expansion of the terminal to accommodate more commuting planes and better passenger services inside the main building. In the current terminal, a concourse was designed with 8 gates and a walkway connecting the airport lounge to gate 4, passing gates 1,2 and 3. The main building was divided into 2 separate halls for departures and arrivals, each with a single entrance. There are no shopping facilities in the waiting lounge.

near the security control were provided for the passengers; no services are available for arrivals. The proposed redevelopment plan will expand the terminal into two wings with a sky train in the middle, connecting the waiting lounge to the location between 2 concourses, replacing the walkway. Some shops will be opened in the waiting room where

to make room for luggage drop-off.
Finally
