You recently went on holiday and your friend lent you a travel guidebook. Write a letter to friend. In your letter: - tell your friend about the holiday - explain how the guidebook was helpful - say when and how you will return the guidebook

Dear John, I hope
this
letter finds you in good health. First of all, I would like to express my gratitude and thank you for lending me your travel guidebook. It's well-preserved and has given me great insights into everything and everywhere in the city. I'm elated to say that the holiday was magical and I am eager to embark on
this
endeavor again in the future. From the moment I landed in the city, the airport landscape caught my eye. It is colourful and full of life, and I'm not talking about nature only, but the entanglement from preserved nature to advanced technology transcended all my highest expectations. Your guidebook was useful from the moment I set foot in the city. It gave me tips on how I should traverse using fast and reliable public transportation. But most importantly, the guide showed me hidden gems when it comes to restaurants. You know I am a foodie and love experiencing new cultures, so you can imagine how delighted I was about that. I arrived back in our home town earlier today and, after I unpacking my bags, I'll get some needed rest. Tomorrow I'll go to your place to hand it back to you,
as well as
give you some gifts from my trip. See you tomorrow, James.

Use a variety of complex and simple sentences

You should use complex sentences in your writing, but it does not mean that you should try to make all of our sentences complex.

‘Complex’ sentences are not actually very complex; they are just two or more simple sentences put together. Putting them together makes the essay more coherent and cohesive.

Examples:

I really want to study but I’m too tired.

I wore a warm coat because the weather was cold.
