Rich countries often give money to poorer countries, but it does not solve poverty. Therefore, developed countries should give other types of help to the poor countries rather than financial aid. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

The issue of how developing
countries
should assist the underestimated ones is a matter of ongoing debate. Personally, I agree with
this
sentiment.
To begin
with, money by itself is meaningless, but it can contribute to enhancing the poverty situation of poorer
countries
. Developing
countries
should provide monetary aid in areas like education, health, and infrastructure development.
This
approach could lead to the growth and thriving of the economy in poorer
countries
.
For instance
, when a government invests in funding an outreach area by building a factory,
such
an investment allows the people in that area to work for their livelihoods, which, in turn, could boost the entire region and have a positive impact on the
overall
economy of the
country
.
Moreover
,
while
the role of financial assistance cannot be denied, it is often hindered by issues
such
as corruption, mismanagement, and dependency.
Therefore
, different types of assistance should be considered.
For example
, a wealthy
country
like America could offer to build hospitals or schools in rural areas of a poorer
country
like India.
This
would improve the entire community in those areas. In conclusion,
while
the power of money is crucial for a
country
’s development, other forms of aid are equally important for community infrastructure.
It is clear that
mitigating poverty status in any
country
requires a focus on enhancing infrastructure. It is evident that depending on other
countries
alone will not solve the poverty problem.

Word Count

IELTS says that you should write a minimum of 250 words in writing task 2. If you go under word count you will lose marks in task response.

A very long essay will not give you a higher band score.

Aim for between 260 to 290 words in writing task 2. This will ensure a concise essay and will be realistic in terms of time management. You have only 40 minutes to write the essay and you need around 10 minutes of planning time, so you will not be able to write a long essay in 30 minutes.
