experienced an upward trend during the given years. To be specific, the

rate
started at approximately 20000s, being twice as many as the

rate
in 1901. Following that, it climbed dramatically, and

it reached a peak at around 65000s in 1961.
While
there was a fluctuation between 1961 to 2011, the number of the
birth
rate
was still higher than the
death
rate
.
On the other hand

rose slowly
