Overall
, there was a steady growth in people who visited outside and those who travelled to Australia. From 1985 almost 5 000,000 Japanese nationals went overseas. Each year there was a boost of almost 0.5
million
to 2
million
people leaving Japan for other countries up to 1990. In 1991 there was a drop of just above 10
million
then
the trend went back up again, a gradual hike was recorded until 1995 when it was at an all-time high of close to 15
million
Janapese travelling outside their country. The line graph mirrors the bar chart as it started off in 1985 with 2% of people in Japan visiting Australia,
then
there was a percentage increment to at least 5% in 1986. A plummet of almost 4% was recorded
thereafter
in 1990. From thereon, a steady rise of maybe 0.5 to 1% rise was seen each year until 1994 with almost 6.2%
then
a decline to 6% in 1995.
