The pie charts below compare water usage in San Diego, California, and the rest of the world.
The charts presented the
water
consumption in three different sections in San Diego County, California, and the world as a whole.
Overall
, it is noticeable that more
water
is consumed by homes than by industry or agriculture in the two American regions
while
agriculture accounts for the vast majority of
water
used worldwide. In detail, residential
water
use makes up three-fifths of San Diego;
however
,
this
number is significantly smaller in California, at 39%. The percentage of
water
used for industrial purposes ranks second in both areas with about a quarter and a
third,
respectively,
whereas
the agricultural sector uses the least amount, with corresponding figures of 17% and 28%.
In contrast
to the two previous places, worldwide
water
allocation is remarkably different. Agrarian usage has by far the highest proportion, with over two-thirds.
On the contrary
, the portion for industrial and domestic
water
utilization is substantially smaller; the former constitutes 23%, nearly three times as much as that of the latter.
