Ensure there is a clear introduction, body, and conclusion structure to your letter. This structure helps guide the reader through your points clearly.
Paragraphing
Use paragraphs effectively to separate different ideas or points. This makes it easier to follow your letter.
Accuracy
Make sure to check spelling and punctuation. Consistency in the spelling of names (e.g., Amil/Amit) and correcting typographical errors (e.g., 'fromLast', 'thearrangements') improves clarity.
Linking Words
Incorporate linking words to improve the flow between sentences and ideas, such as 'Furthermore', 'In addition', or 'Therefore'.
Task Response
Address all aspects of the prompt directly. While you have mentioned the invitation and the place of vacation, providing more specific reasons for choosing the location or how you envision spending time together can enhance the letter's responsiveness to the task.

Word Count

IELTS says that you should write a minimum of 150 words in writing task 1. If you go under word count you will lose marks in task response.

A very long letter will not give you a higher band score.

Aim for between 160 to 190 words in writing task 1. This will ensure a concise letter and will be realistic in terms of time management. You have only 20 minutes to write the letter and you need around 5 minutes of planning time, so you will not be able to write a long letter in 15 minutes.
