The chart below shows the expenditure of two countries on consumer goods in 2010
The bar chart depicts the amount of money spent in 2010 by the people of the UK and France and it is based on five consumer goods (cars, computers, books, perfume and cameras) where units are measured in pounds sterlings.
Overall
we can see, that both the British and the French spent the most on cars in contrast
, they spent the least on perfume and cameras respectively.
In terms of cars, citizens of the UK spent around £450,000 while
citizens of France spent exactly £400,000. The expenditure on books, in the United Kingdom was slightly over £400,000 on the other hand
, in France, it was about £300,000. However
, when it comes to cameras, the French spent just £150,000 whereas
the people of Britain spent almost £350,000 which is a lot higher.
In addition
, if we look at the other two commodities, we can see that the French spent more on perfume (more or less £200,000) and computers (close to £400,000) in comparison, it was quite high as the British spent nearly £150,000 and a bit more than £350,00 for each of them.Submitted by safin.rizwan on
