Europe observed more land
degradation than the other regions by mainly deforestation
.
There were four causes
of worldwide land
reduction. 35% of land

As for the table, 23% of land

and over-grazing were other causes
, 7.7% and 5.5% respectively. In Oceania, over-cultivation
was not witnessed and the first cause was over-grazing with roughly 11%. In North America, deforestation
impacted less land
reduction with 0.2%. In this
region, the percentage of over-cultivation
