Ensure a clear and logical structure throughout your letter by organizing your ideas more distinctly into paragraphs, each with a single, well-developed idea. For instance, separate paragraphs for explaining the occasion, asking for assistance, and proposing a meeting time could enhance clarity.
Coherence
To enrich the coherence and cohesion of your letter, use a wider range of cohesive devices (e.g., furthermore, moreover, on the other hand) and transition words to link your ideas and paragraphs seamlessly.
Content
For an even better task achievement score, detail more specifically what kind of assistance you're seeking from your friend. Mentioning specific aspects of the party planning (like theme, catering, or entertainment) where you need help can make your request clearer.
Tone
Although the writing tone is generally suitable, maintaining a consistent formal or informal tone (depending on your relationship) throughout could refine the overall impression. If Julia is a close friend, a more informal tone with personal anecdotes could enhance warmth and engagement.

Word Count

IELTS says that you should write a minimum of 150 words in writing task 1. If you go under word count you will lose marks in task response.

A very long letter will not give you a higher band score.

Aim for between 160 to 190 words in writing task 1. This will ensure a concise letter and will be realistic in terms of time management. You have only 20 minutes to write the letter and you need around 5 minutes of planning time, so you will not be able to write a long letter in 15 minutes.
