The graph below shows the number of shops that closed and the number of new shops that opened in one country between 2011 and 2018.

A glance at the line graph depicts a nation's data on the market's closures and
openings
in a specific range of time which is from 2011 to 2018.
Overall
, it is clear from the illustrated information that there was a fluctuation in the proportion of both opened and closed shops in the country. In terms of closed markets, there was a constant trend between 2011 and 2014 with around 6000 and 7000.
However
, the increase in
openings
in 2014 comes with a regressive decrease in closures with the peak at about 1000 closed shops. As for the
openings
, the peak was in 2012 with exactly 4000.
Moreover
, there was a rapid growth pattern between 2012 and 2014 can be estimated to be 2000.

there was another drop in 2015 corresponds to the deterioration in the number of closures as well.
