Looking from an overall
perspective, it is evident that travelling overseas between Japanese
has become more popular over time. At the same time, Japanese
passengers who chose Australia as their destination grew too.
Looking at the bar chart, there were only 4.5 million
people planning to travel abroad, in 1985, and this
number
grew steadily to 11 million
in 1990. After a negligible drop in 1991, the number
increased again to 12 million
and became stable for about 2 years. Eventually, it grew sharply to 15 million
,in 1995.
