The graphic shows

year in the United Kingdom. The line graph shows the connection between criminal activity and age and the pie chart a breakdown of different

types. It is evident when looking at the line graph that teenagers and those in their early twenties were responsible for a disproportionately high level of
crime
. The involvement in
crime
peaked at twenty years old with nearly a million
crimes
being committed.
This
then
fell dramatically and levelled off at age 28 and continued to decrease with age. The pie chart shows that serious
crimes
were alarmingly high with nearly half of
crimes
identified as being violent in nature. Property and drug
crime
had similar levels at just under a quarter and
crimes
related to social disorder were relatively low at 9%.
Overall
, we can see that the vast majority of

- over 75% - were committed by older teens and people in their early twenties and the
