The graph below shows the quantities of goods transported in the UK between 1974 and 2002 by four different modes of transport.

You should write at least 150 words.
The given diagram represents the amount of commodities carried by different types of transport in the period of time from 1074 to 2002 in the UK. In general, what stands out from the graph is that they were increasing except for the Rail method which was stable as a whole. As regards the Road method that carried out by vehicles, the amount of load is about 70
million
tones
then
it was fluctuation over the next twelve
years
, at which
point
it went up to just under 80
million
tones
, having remained stable at
this
rate,
then
jumped up to over 90
million
tones
which was top of the list. Another interesting
point
is that transfer whereby water modes started from just under 40
million
tones
then
increased significantly to just under 60, next it remained stable over the 8
years
, at
this
point
, it dropped to approximately fifty
million
tonnes
then
it shoots up to about 65
million
tonnes
which were not quite as popular as Road modes in 1974. If we look at the Pipeline, it began with about 5
million
tonnes
which was the bottom of the list,
then
it considerably rose to over 20
million
tonnes
in the next eight
years
. At
this
point
, having remained stable from 1982 until 1990, next it plunged at 20
million
tonnes
from 1990 to 1994, next it remained stable in the 8
years
which in 2002 was 20
million
tonnes
which were nowhere near as popular as the Railway.
By contrast
, the Rail method,
such
as the train, did not increase, whilst having remained stable at 40
million
tonnes
from 1974 until 1978,
then
it fluctuated until 2002.
