The graph below shows UK air pollutants in millions of tonnes, from three different sources, between 1990 and 2005.
The line graph illustrates how much air pollutants were released from three distinct sources in the UK over a 105-year timescale spanning from 1900 to 2005.
Broadly, there was a decline in the total amount of air pollution in the UK, which was the result of decreases in the amounts of generation from industrial and domestic activities. Atmosphere production generated from transport vehicles, notably, exhibited an increase, surpassing the industry sector to become the most serious segment from 2002 onwards.
From the outset in 1900, the amount of toxic fumes emitted from Industry comprised close to 6 million tonnes, which was 2 million tonnes lower than that of all sources. After that, both experienced consistent downward trajectories, reaching the lowest of exactly 5 and 2 million tons by the termination of the period.
Commencing from 1900, 1.000.000 tonnes of Transport emissions were produced into the air, which was almost equal to the level of households.
Subsequently
, there was a plateau in household emissions until 1999, before dropping to no data in 2005, whilst a fluctuation was experienced in the statistics for Transport, after which it ascended to precisely 3.000.000 tons by the culmination of the surveyed duration.Submitted by [email protected] on
