The line graph shows the prison population in a European country between 1911 and 2011.
Contained in the illustration are two line graphs pertaining to the population of
prisoners
in a European nation in a 90-year period. The data was measured in person. From an observational perspective, there was generally an increase in the number of male
prisoners
whereas
that of female counterparts decreased over the timeframe.
Additionally
, the data for male
prisoners
saw a fluctuation commencing with the year 1911 and culminating with the year 1971 Beginning with the male population, there were roughly 19,000
prisoners
in 1911 and the number fluctuated from 1991 to 1971, prior to significantly increasing to just under 40,000 at about 39,250
prisoners
in 1971 and
subsequently
reaching the peak at exactly 40,000 residents in 2001. Turning to the female statistics, the figure for female
prisoners
was 3,250 in 1911 before dipping to under 1,000 at around 700 individuals in 1941. It
then
slightly went up to about 1,200 in 1961 and eventually finished at approximately 1,700
prisoners
at the end
of the period. 11 and 2011.
