, towards the end of the 2010s, there were increases in the percentage of people engaging in hiking, reading, and surfing the internet,
while
activities like playing sports and going to the theatre saw decreases. In terms of reading, there were fluctuations observed. In the 1980s, the percentage rose slightly from 30% to 40%,
then
dropped significantly to 20% in the 2000s, before peaking at 60% in the end.
On the other hand
, hiking showed significant growth from 20% to 80%, increasing by 20% between each decade from the 1980s to the 2010s.
In contrast
, going to the theatre was the second most popular activity in the 1980s, with a measurement of 50%.
