Some people feel that manufacturers and supermarkets have the responsibility to reduce the amount of packaging of goods. Others argue that customers should avoid buying goods with a lot of packaging. Discuss both these views and give your opinion

One of the big problems in my country is
waste
in landfills. Actually,
this
problem can be addressed collectively by
manufacturers
,
customers
, and the government. In my opinion,
manufacturers
have to develop a system for
waste
management. On one hand, some people believe that
customers
need to be more responsible and avoid buying goods with a lot of packaging.
This
is because the amount of
waste
increases daily as people buy
products
packaged in materials like plastic, which is non-reusable and ends up in landfills.
Although
customers
can try to separate their
waste
, it often gets mixed with other trash, making it difficult to manage.
Thus
, it is argued that
customers
should avoid
products
with excessive packaging to reduce
waste
.
On the other hand
, others argue that
manufacturers
and supermarkets should take responsibility for reducing the amount of packaging.
For example
, Unilever, a large company in Indonesia, produces many
products
that contribute to landfill
waste
.
However
, they have initiated programs to reduce
waste
,
such
as collecting used packaging from
customers
in various cities.
Manufacturers
can collaborate with governments, foundations, and
customers
to create educational programs about responsible packaging use and
waste
management. By doing so, they can significantly reduce the amount of
waste
generated. In conclusion,
while
customers
can play a role in reducing
waste
by choosing
products
with less packaging,
manufacturers
and supermarkets must
also
implement
waste
management systems.
This
way,
customers
can contribute to reducing packaging
waste
effectively.

A very long essay will not give you a higher band score.

Aim for between 260 to 290 words in writing task 2. This will ensure a concise essay and will be realistic in terms of time management. You have only 40 minutes to write the essay and you need around 10 minutes of planning time, so you will not be able to write a long essay in 30 minutes.
