The chart shows the proportion of working age adults in four countries from 1960 to 2015. Units are given in percentages.
The line graph illustrates the prediction of the estimates of adults in the workforce in France, the United States, Japan and Germany between the years 1960 and 2050, with units given in percentages.
Overall
, the proportion of workers in all four countries is expected to have a downward trajectory by the end of the given period.
To begin
with, Japanese and German had the highest level of job-owners in 1960, ranging from 65% to 67%. they both rose marginally to a peak of nearly 70% 3 decades later, after which these figures are predicted to plummet to approximately 52% and 55% respectively. The French and American labourers,
on the other hand
, had a similar trend as the others. In America, they had around 3 fifths of employees in the beginning,
then
significantly increased with an addition of about 6% in 2000, and from there should decline gradually back to its initial value in 2040 and plateau for the rest of the year. France had roughly 63% of salary earners in 1960,
then
grew to a little over 65% in 1990, levelled off for 25 years and is forecasted to drop exponentially to around 57% at the latter.
