The graph below shows average CO2 emissions per person in the UK, Sweden, Italy and Portugal between 1967 and 2007
The given line chart illustrates how much carbon dioxide
emissions
per individual emit in 4 countries including the UK, Sweden, Italy and Portugal over a period of 40 years starting from 1967.
As an overview, it is clear that
the amount of CO2 output that was emitted in the UK and Sweden showed a reduction. Whereas
, the figure for this
emission experienced an upward trend in two other countries.
Looking at the graph, citizens released about 1 and over 4 tonnes
in Italy and Portugal respectively in 1967. After 30 years, the survey witnessed that the amount of CO2 emissions
that Italians emitted rocketed to approximately 8 tonnes
, followed by just over 5 tonnes
in Portugal. CO2 emissions
in Italy remained stable from 1997 to 2007. Meanwhile, these emissions
which Portugal citizens produced rose slightly by 0,25 tonnes
between 1997 and 2007.
On the other hand
, the figure for CO2 emissions
which the UK released decreased moderately by 2 tonnes
throughout the survey period. While
the statistic for CO2 emissions
in Sweden stood at just under 9 tonnes
in 1967, it went up to over 10 tonnes
10 years later. During the remaining time, it declined sharply to roughly 6 tonnes
